Please read this disclaimer carefully. By booking any yatra or trek with Yatra Kailash, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to all the terms and conditions stated herein.
1. Nature of the Yatra
The pilgrimage routes to Adi Kailash, Om Parvat and Kailash Mansarovar pass through remote high-altitude Himalayan terrain at elevations of up to 5,630 metres (18,481 feet). These journeys involve:
- Extreme cold, high winds and unpredictable weather conditions
- High-altitude health risks including Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (HAPE) and High Altitude Cerebral Edema (HACE)
- Remote areas with limited or no mobile connectivity
- Rough mountain roads with risk of landslides and road closures
- Physical exertion that requires good cardiovascular fitness
2. Medical Fitness
Participation in any yatra operated by Yatra Kailash requires that you are in good physical and mental health. We strongly advise:
- Consulting a qualified doctor before booking if you have any pre-existing medical conditions
- Disclosing any heart conditions, lung conditions, diabetes, hypertension or other chronic illnesses to us before booking
- Carrying prescribed medications and a valid medical certificate if required
- Obtaining a medical fitness certificate for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra as required by the government
Yatra Kailash reserves the right to refuse participation to any individual deemed medically unfit, even after arrival at Dharchula. No refund will be issued in such cases.
3. Limitation of Liability
Yatra Kailash and its employees, guides and associates shall not be held liable for:
- Personal injury, illness, death or loss of property during the yatra
- Delays, cancellations or changes caused by weather, natural disasters, government orders or force majeure
- Actions or omissions of third-party service providers including hotels, transport operators and permit authorities
- Loss or damage to personal belongings, documents or equipment
- Failure to obtain permits due to government policy changes or quota restrictions
- Any medical emergency arising from altitude or physical exertion
4. Travel Insurance
Yatra Kailash strongly recommends that all participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers:
- Medical treatment and hospitalisation at high altitude
- Emergency evacuation by helicopter
- Trip cancellation and interruption
- Loss of baggage and documents
Yatra Kailash does not provide travel insurance and is not responsible for any costs arising from medical emergencies.
5. Accuracy of Information

Package prices, itineraries, permit requirements and route conditions may change without notice. Always confirm current details with us before booking.
6. Photography & Privacy
By participating in a yatra with Yatra Kailash, you grant us permission to use photographs and videos taken during the trip for promotional purposes on our website and social media. If you do not consent, please inform us in writing before departure.
7. Governing Law
This disclaimer and all disputes arising from it shall be governed by the laws of India. Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand.
