Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 — Delhi / Kathgodam to Dharchula

Drive or train to Dharchula. Complete ILP (Inner Line Permit) formalities. Overnight at Dharchula.

Day 2 — Dharchula to Sirkha / Malpa

Drive through scenic Kali valley. Cross into the restricted zone. Overnight camp.

Day 3 — Trek to Budhi / Gunji

Trek through alpine meadows. Views of Nanda Devi range. Acclimatisation day.

Day 4 — Gunji to Kalapani / Nabidang

Visit Kalapani temple — sacred confluence of rivers. Trek to Nabidang base camp.

Day 5 — Cross Lipulekh Pass (5,334m) — Enter Tibet

Historic high-altitude pass crossing. Enter Tibet. Descend to Taklakot (Purang). Panoramic Himalayan views.

Day 6 — Taklakot to Lake Mansarovar

Drive to sacred Lake Mansarovar (4,556m). Holy dip. Prayers at lakeside. Overnight camp.

Day 7 — Mansarovar to Darchen (Kailash Base)

Drive to Darchen at the base of Mount Kailash. Prepare for Parikrama. Puja ceremony.

Day 8 — Parikrama Day 1: Darchen to Diraphuk (20km)

Begin sacred Kailash Parikrama (52km circumambulation). Cross Lha Chu valley. North face of Kailash darshan.

Day 9 — Parikrama Day 2: Dolma La Pass (5,630m)

Highest point of the Parikrama. Cross sacred Dolma La pass. Descend to Zuthulphuk monastery.

Day 10 — Complete Parikrama — Return to Darchen

Complete the sacred circumambulation. Return to Darchen. Rest and celebration.

Day 11 — Darchen to Taklakot — Return via Lipulekh

Begin return journey. Drive to Taklakot. Overnight rest before high-altitude pass crossing.

Day 12 — Cross Lipulekh Pass — Return to Dharchula

Cross back into India via Lipulekh Pass. Descend through Kalapani and Gunji. Reach Dharchula.

Day 13 — Dharchula to Delhi / Kathgodam

Drive to Kathgodam/Haldwani. Board train or bus to Delhi. Sacred yatra complete. 🕉️
